I have been thinking lately about how most of us don't take the time to be still. We rush around and do our things. We work, we spend time with our family, and take part in activites in our daily lives. When do we really take the time to sit down and be still?
For many people I know it's so easy to just keep busy and keep doing whatever it is that we do. I think many are afraid of stillness, afraid of feelings and thoughts that might surface. We dont want to be confronted with feelings or thoughts that might make us feel uncomfortable. Would you agree or do you see it differently?
For many years I have been writing notes in a little book. I have been writing down my thoughts, my plans, my dreams and my prayers. At times I have taken the time to be still and just wait for that inner voice. This experience has been such a blessing, to really feel what's in my heart and to find clearity and inner peace. I know those who meditate know what this is like, to find that inner peace and to hear that inner voice.
We all have it in us, but most of us don't take the time to really connect to our inner self. As for me, I belive we are more than just flesh and blood. I believe we are spiritual beings as well, and through prayer, meditation and stillness we can connect to a higher power.
I would like to hear what you have experienced through silence, prayer and meditation. How do you experience life as a spiritual being? Do you find the answers you are waiting for when beeing in a state of stillness, prayer and meditation?
Would you like to share some of your own experiences and tell what impact this has on your life?
I look forward to hear from you.
Love and peace,
Gitte
